Nearly Two Decades of Ethical Recovery in Tamil Nadu

Sun Associates was founded in Tamil Nadu in 2007 with a simple belief: debt recovery does not have to be harsh, chaotic or legally risky to be effective. In a market where recovery agencies were often associated with pressure tactics, our founders set out to build something different — a professional firm that combined the rigour of a law practice with the on-ground execution of a field agency.

What started as a small team handling cheque-bounce and EMI default cases for local finance companies has grown into a full-spectrum recovery and enforcement practice. Today, we serve more than 10 banks and NBFCs, operate an in-house call centre, a dedicated legal desk, a skip-tracing unit, and a field-operations team of DRA-certified officers covering every major city in Tamil Nadu.

When I started Sun Associates, my goal was simple — to bring discipline, dignity and documentation back to the recovery industry. We treat every customer with respect, every client mandate as our own portfolio, and every closed case as proof that ethical recovery is not just possible, it works better than the alternative.

Over the years, our team has grown, our partner banks have multiplied, and our methods have modernised — but our core principle stays the same: do the right thing, document it, and deliver results. That is the Sun Associates way, and it is the only way I know how to run this business.
